I’ve never done yoga before. Is that okay?


More than okay. Wellness Warrior has classes for all levels, whether you’re a total beginner or a fully-fledged yogi.

What equipment do I need?


You’ll need a yoga mat and yoga brick. If you don’t have these, you’ll find all the kit you need here.

What streaming platform is used?


The sessions are streamed via Kuula for a high quality, digital studio experience. No need to download anything - just click the link sent to you before the class.

Do you have to be spiritual to do yoga?


Sattva Yoga is a spiritual practice but you don’t have to be spiritual to do it. You can belong to any faith, or not (yes atheists, we’re speaking to you) and still reap the benefits of yoga.

How can I do yoga if I’m not flexible?


Well, that’s the reason to do yoga, not to avoid it. It doesn’t matter if you can’t touch your toes. Flexibility is not a prerequisite to do yoga. But the willingness to try something new is.

Isn’t yoga more for women?


Women may have more readily adapted to the many benefits of yoga, but in fact, when yoga was first birthed in the Himalayas 5000 years ago, it was exclusively a man’s practice.

What if I can’t do it?


Yoga is not about judgement. No-one cares if you can’t wrap yourself up in Dragonfly pose. With time and perseverance you will be able to do it.

Do you have to wear lycra to do yoga?


No you don’t. But as your body is moving through the various planes of motion, it’s easy to get lost in your clothes! So wear comfortable, form-fitting kit that doesn’t interrupt your yoga flow.

Can I do the Teacher Training program even though I don’t want to become a teacher?


Yes, in fact a lot of people do yoga teacher training as a way to fully immerse themselves into the world of yoga.

How much previous yoga experience is required to do the teacher training?


At least 12 months of practice is recommended so that you’re physically prepared and have developed a commitment to the yoga way of life.
